I think a new core might be order.

    HOWEVER..

inspect the screw on the affected side, and then especially that flat bit around the Philips +

on the inside, so on the side the spring is.

Is that all smooth? I have had it happen (on a cheapo mind you) that there was a big blob of metal on there, which held the spring in place instead of letting it freely rotate.

Using a little superglue in the core may can solve this problem.
    My English is really poor.

But that will result in the screw never coming out again?

    I heard that in pyraminx
one screw should only be tightened
    Not all!
    Is this true?

I have a master pyramorphix, you tension it like a 3x3. At least it has the same basic mechanism.. so.. I wager the same treatment is in order.
