Yes I joined the forum back in 2008 but never really logged on or posted. I used the site mostly for reference but finally realized how much knowlege I was/am missing out on. also I wasn't totally down with the whole speed cubing thing till I started watching redkb's youtube channel and found myself fiddling around with my rubiks cube a lot more because of the twisty puzzle solves he does and id envy he abilities. This was about a year ago. I now can solve the rubiks cube using the beginners method in about 1:30-2:30 (not playing with my cube when I bought it in 2008) and watched a vid recently that said if I can cube in 3 mins or under that it's time to speed up and learn how to speed cube. I set out about the same time I joined and got the book speedsolving the cube so I have had it a while but lacked the know how and struggled to learn the f2l method until I came across badmalphisto and his how to vid which for me put the book to shame. He made learning the method eaiser for me. I started learning with my off the shelf rubiks brand cube only 2 days ago and almost the the idea of the f2l 2look oll/pll down. Now looking to expand my cube knowlege even more.

Yes its a long intro lol not even sure its right for an intro thread but it gives you a bit of my cube history. Hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi; I think your intro was just fine!
I have that book also but check out the wiki as it gives you a bigger variety of algs for each case.
    Hope you enjoy it here

Lol, that was quite a journey you took us through

You'll quickly find out you've only just scratched the surface of what there is to know about cubing. Have fun!

Seriously, we should get a speedcuber book with algs etc. for many puzzles like they have in Thailand!!! (And not to mention all the girl cubers that poses the last half part of the book )

EDIT: that was kind of off-topic x'D
