    This simple change made a big difference for me. That makes it (R2 D) (R' U2) (R D') (R' U2 R').

Do you mean for the D', too? I definitely use my left ring for D, pulling toward the front. I can see how it's less choppy to use that for D', rather than breaking up the right hand moves. But using the left ring to push the back-down-left corner toward the right is mechanically hard/weird for me -- at least for now. I'll keep practicing.

Playing with the other suggestions now, too. Thanks again.
    yes D' too. you're welcome
    (a^b)^c = a^(b c) e^(2 i pi c floor(1/2-(Im(b log(a)))/(2 pi)))

Watch this video if you wonder how to do D' with left ring

    That's a good 2-gen alg.
Certainly is. I had no idea. I'm not sure that's faster than (R2 D) (R' U2) (R D') (R' U2 R') (now that I have a better handle on technique) but it's interesting to see how to build a new OLL from two that I can perform effortlessly. Thanks!

You can use them all for different CPs
    (a^b)^c = a^(b c) e^(2 i pi c floor(1/2-(Im(b log(a)))/(2 pi)))

I use that one for OH and bigger cubes. For 3x3, I just use (R2 D') (R U2) (R' D) (R U2 R) because the D move is so much easier to do than on OH or big cubes :P

I had trouble with that one too at first, but this helped me.

    I like R U R' U' (R U' R' U2)x2 R U R'. With headlights on left.

    I came up with this case yesterday, R' U' R U' R' U2 R2 U R' U R U2 R'

Let me know what you guys think! It's 2-gen so it had some pretty good potential, no awkward D moves.
