Default New to Cubing and new to the forums!

    Hey guys,

Just thought I'd start a thread to introduce myself. I started Cubing in November 2011 and have been Cubing ever since, my times are in my signature, and my collection contains a heavily modded rubiks brand 3x3, a heavily modded rubiks 2x2, a mini QJ 4x4, a Mefferts pyraminx, and some random floppy cube that I bought for $2.50. I told myself that I would not get involved in the community until I was sub 1 minute . I have been lurking for a while and it seems like a great community, so hi!

Hello and welcome! You should get new cubes. Even heavily modded rubik's brands aren't as good as good 3x3s and 2x2s, as far as I know. May I ask why you didn't want to get involved until you were sub 1 minute?

I have a guhong II on the way along with a wittwo and also I wanted to be kind of isolated as I learned. Also (although I feel kind of silly about this now,) I did not think i was good enough to be properly involved

Welcome to the forums! Have you thought about getting any 5x5's? Maybe even a new 4x4 since almost everyone has a screw spring one now.

Your 4x4 time seems very good in relation to your 3x3 time! Hello.

    Hi.
I agree with cubingawsumness; there are better cubes than a storebought - you'll have to change your username to guhongv2 soon
