The module that feeds threads onto the homepage allows me to choose which forums posts are fed from. I've eliminated the off-topic forum from it. If there is enough interest, I can manually remove specific threads from being shown (like Accomplishments Thread), while all other posts from the forum are still fed.
Should the help/questions forum be fed onto the homepage? I understand that a lot of people don't care to see specific forums, so I can make a general setting that fits better for most.
As for a personalized homepage: it is easier said than done, but we'll keep that in mind for the future. I'm sure someone is already developing a solution for this that hopefully we can take advantage of in the future.
Thanks Pat
I think OAQT-type threads are actually fine to stay up; it's better if everybody can easily contribute - I've answered quite a few questions just because I felt like clicking on it while at the front page.
The only other sub-forum I'd suggest removing from the front page would be the forum competitions and 'race' threads.
I was confused for a moment... I keep the forum itself bookmarked, and tend to forget that there is an actual "homepage."
I'm another one who preferred the old way; I can live with it the way it is now, but it's definitely a step backwards for me.
