    Nice job Nakajima!
Find me by looking for a box with a sticker that says Caution Radioactive Material the sticker is Yellow. Don't worry there's nothing radioactive in the box I put the sticker there just for fun-Womack

can it be that the WR is DNF?
he donīt wear foot-ware on the picture

    WCA-regulations:
2h) Competitors must be fully dressed. Competitors may dress in jeans, pants, shorts, slacks, skirts, foot-wear, T-shirts or dress shirts. Hats may be worn. Clothes must not display vulgar language or have inappropriate pictures.

As the WCA delegate at the competition did not disqualify him for not wearing shoes, it is a valid WR

There are shoes under the table, so he could well have been wearing them during the actual solve

You can't prove that he wasn't wearing shoes during the solve. And this rule is IMO just to avoid abuses, not to force competitors te be perfectly dressed.

The WCA regulations say MAY, which means you are allowed to. It doesn't say you have to have footwear on. The only "must" that applies here is "Competitors must be fully dressed", and in that case it's up to the WCA delegate. If they're OK with what Nakaji was wearing, it's fine.

PS: This record is crazy, and I still think sub-1 is insane. Maybe I'm just very behind the times

we had already had a discussion about some barefeet pyraminx solves by odders. and if i remember correctly a delegate wrote that you are not being disqualified unless the delegate (of that competition) asks you to put on your shoes AND you ignore it.
so i guess the WR is valid

Also, try feet solving with shoes on.
