    Default New Forums and Arrangement

You will notice a few changes with the forum. Below is a recap of the changes (in red) - changes only affect the forums in the "General Cubing" category. Please give us some time to move topics to their appropriate forums and get things setup. With this new setup, we hope to categorize threads more effectively for discussion.

I'd like to reiterate, if you don't have something of value to add in a thread, don't add it. Replying just to reply is worthless, and infractions or suspensions may occur. Make the forum a better place by helping people out, not cutting them down. If you see anything in question (such as spam, someone bashing another, etc.), please click the "Report Post" button instead of replying and a moderator will take care of it.

If you have any further suggestions to improve the site, please post them here.

    General Cubing

    Speedsolving Help/Questions
New to cubing or solving puzzles? Need orientation? Have general speedcubing questions? Here you'll get help.

General Puzzle Discussion [this is a new forum for general puzzle discussion that isn't a rookie question or a constructive new idea]
General puzzle or speedsolving discussion that doesn't fit into the other forums. This is not the place to request help or ask questions!

Constructive Speedcubing Discussion [this was previously for discussion as a whole, but is now only for new ideas or constructive discussion of methods, etc.]
The constructive speedsolving forum; discussing new ideas expanding the cubing community's knowledge. This is not the place to request help or ask questions!

Hall of Fame [new forum as suggested here]
This is the place for existing topics/discussions that are exceptionally informative. Threads are moved here by Moderators, new threads cannot be created within this subforum.

    Hardware Area
This is the place to get help with the hardware side of your puzzles: what kind of puzzle to get, how to lube cubes, DIY questions, discuss what to buy, where to buy from, and how to tune your puzzles to perfection.

    Video Gallery
This is the place to add and/or watch any puzzle related videos added by members. Have a nice video you want to share? Or bored and want to see some exciting solving? This is the place to sit back and watch!

    Blindfold Cubing
Discussion of solving puzzles blindfolded will be here. Discuss solving technique, memory methods, algorithms, and more.

    Software Area
This is the place to discuss and get help with software for puzzles: timers, solvers, simulators.

    Puzzle Theory
Non-speed related puzzle discussion goes here: Group theory, mathematics, fewest moves and similar are discussed in "Puzzle Theory".

    How-to's, Guides, etc.
Here you can find a compilation of general how-to's, tutorials, guides, etc. This is not the place to request help or ask questions!

    Speedsolving.com Wiki
The Wiki is meant to provide an organized outlet for the vast amounts of knowledge that are provided in the forums, as well as a general cubing encyclopedia.

General is for anything other than that: new puzzle releases, step breakdown, puzzle shows, etc. Method discussions, if they are constructive (meaning new ideas, development, etc.), would be for the constructive forum. If it is general method stuff (such as "using M moves with Roux"), then it would be general.

Not as of right now. I've updated the announcement to reflect this.

This might not be the right thread, but why isn't Puzzle Theory in the navigation sidebar?
I'm gonna go get me some FMC.
