I added some washers between the spring and the inner bottom part of the center pieces of my GuHong. I though that this would ease the friction and it did so remarkably. I've always lubed my cubes using Jigaloo (spraying at disassembled pieces from a distance, just a little coating and letting it dry before assembling) but I've never lubed the core or the inside of the centers with it.
Just now one the little "tubes" that pushes the center piece away from the core evaporated. Literally. The center piece has a hole big enough to let the whole washer (along with the screw and spring) go trough and the little tube is nowhere to be found. I checked the other pieces and they are all well drilled too in the inside... this side died first since it was the yellow one.
So... was it the washer that killed my GuHong, the Jigaloo or a combination of both? Any similar experiences with cubes that I can learn from?
edit: and how the *** simple washer can drill trough a freaking speedcube?!

). That being said, it is probably the washer.
