Thanks Jakube for the help, but I think I like this one better.

If you get a pop in the middle of a BLD solve, and you replace it in the wrong way, can you take off the blindfold, see if you replaced it in the wrong way, and then put the blindfold back on and take out/replace the edge? The regulations say this:
5b4) For blindfolded events a puzzle defect may only be repaired during the solving, and must be done blindfolded. Penalty: disqualification of the solve.
B5c) The competitor may remove the blindfold before stopping the timer, but after removing the blindfold no moves must be applied to the puzzle anymore. Penalty: disqualification of the solve.
Because I'm not making any moves and I have replaced the blindfold, it sounds like I can, but I'd like to double check.

Set up to PLL. If you're using BH M2 then solve one corner using OP and do normal parity.
I learned BLD once, but I only really use it as a party trick.

No, you can't. May luck be with you.

No, cause then you could theoretically track cross/first block/whatever, blindfold solve that, take the blindfold off, look at next step, blind that, etc.

But I've solved the cube, and I'm checking if I've put the edge right, so I won't be making any moves.

B4e) The competitor may remove and don the blindfold until he applies the first move to the puzzle.
After you have done moves you are not allowed to re-don the blindfold.
Therefore you cannot fix the twisted piece.

B5c doesn't say I can't re-don the blindfold, and fixing a piece isn't a move. Therefore, I can according to the regulations. However, this looks like a very grey area to me, so there may be an unwritten rule concerning this.

You're right. B5c doesn't say this. The regulation I quoted, B4e, does. It says that after you have applied your first moves you cannot don your blindfold again.

Therefore, I can according to the regulations.
    No you can't.
