If it really matters:
Sticker quality
Smoothness
Speed
Corner cutting/reverse corner cutting
Pops
Lock ups
Silence
What is the difference between speed and smoothness?
silence makes no difference however when your around people you constantly get "put that thing down its sooooo noisey!"
i wouldnt worry about sticker quality so much however its corner and reverse corner cutting and lockups mainly. those for me are what really make the difference in the cubing style
So if the stickers are horrible like the Rubik's Proffesor or Type F-II, it doesn't matter?
Corner cutting is getting over rated.
No one needs 45 degree corner cutting. 20-25 is pretty much a good max. If you need to reverse corner cut everytime, either tighten the tensions, or turn more accurate.
Lock ups would also effect cubing style.
Speed = skater on lake ice (may be bumpy, but super fast)
Smooth = Hot knife through butter (really smooth, but more resistance)
In my opinion the sticker quality and the smoothness aren't important. You need
Cornercutting, no lock ups and for a real speedsolve no pops and speed.
