Question Please help with storebought types

hello, i'd like to buy a storebought cube for my friend. and i realize that he don't want to break it and want it great right out of the box , beacuse the last time he tried my brand-new storebought he said that he did not like it. this model is packaged in plastic HEX box (manufactured by basic concepts).
i realize that there are many package and manufacturer out there that is different.
there are some types that is:

-Plastic HEX, basic concepts, made in china, with stand
-Plastic HEX, European ver (?), with stand
    -Paper HEX, Winning-moves, with stand
-Cube with stand wrapped in plastic, (?)
-Cube only in plastic bag, comes with instruction. GOLIATH, made in china, i have one of these spring is weaker (but pictured stickers is good, but i don;t wanna peel off sticker)
    -Rubiks.com (?)
    -etc.

so can you help me to choose what cube is the best? i'm sorry if i missed some models.

    Thank you...

All the same to me, all terrible to me. I'd go with the Paper HEX, becuase it's pretty.

Why don't you just order an actual speedcube? Some of them even cost LESS than storeboughts so I can't imagine why you wouldn't want one.

Edit: You're just gonna have to tell your friend that every storebought is gonna need a lot of breaking in before it's any good. With enough patience they CAN be okay-ish though.

My first storebought is actually pretty amazing now. My solve times with it are only about 3 or 4 seconds behind my A-V. It took a few months, though.

I put vaseline in a few times and let it sit for a few days then cleaned it out really well, I put a bit of sand in and solved for a while then cleaned it out, I used to lube it basically every other day when it was a few weeks old. If you do all that and just do hundreds and hundreds of solves on it, you can eventually make a storebought a decent cube.

Returning from a break and trying Roux. Rather slow for now.

My storebought is better than my speedcube
I did lots of things to it such as sanding and i cleaned it often,
it has even been in the pool one time and its still good

    I just wouldn't get him a storebought.
Why did you "Pet Russ" when you could have "Freed Rich"? | In Soviet Russia, cube solves you.
