Default how do I look ahead

i am not a complete beginner. I learned the layer by layer method, and most
f2l cases for fridrich method. the only thing i get stuck on is looking for pieces like edges and the corners

Slow down, and practise a lot. Go so slow to the point that, as you're solving one Corner-Edge pair, you can focus on looking for the next Corner and Edge. You just have to get used to that until you can do it faster.

what I do sometimes...is like what he said...when you're solving something look for another piece already so when you're done with what you were doing.....you could just go straight and do the other one...or instead of like 'testing' something just do it straight already...

I am doing slow until I see another pair. Then I incrase the speed, and look at that pair until the pair I was doing is solved, and then solve the pair I was looking at.
