I would recommend the Dayan Zhanchi. It has a very nice crispy feeling to it and it is very fast and smooth.
It can definitely cut corners a lot if not the best corner cutting cube, I would say at least 45 degrees which should be more than enough. Although I would advise you to learn to be more accurate because sloppy turns will not get you very fast times.
Zhanchi has torpedos, I believe only 2 of the Dayan cubes come with standard Dayan Torpedos and the other is the Lunhui. I would say Zhanchi because it's faster, but that's just my taste.

If you don't mind spending more money, I'd recommend the ZhanChi, it will feel awesome if you come from a storebought. If you are not that sure then go for the GuHong, it's a relly, really good cube and it's great for starters (I've been using mine for almost a year now).

The crispyest cube I've tried is the FII, but it can pop frequently if you are a rough solver like I am, so I can't recommend that one to you.

Haiyan memory cube is the cube for you, very good if you want to get fast times with a fast cube.

    Hi,

Hard to say which cube would suit you the most. There are so many good ones to choose from and some might complement your current style whilst others might not.

I'd watch some reviews by cubers that own a lot of different cubes and that have compared them. Like tall5001 or xoxxia. But even then, those guys are still bound by personal preference and their own cubing style.

The only way you'll ever find out is by trying several cubes. If you're able to attend a comp, then do so and ask if you can man handle other cubers kit.

If you want something with torps and good performance overall, then get a ZhanChi or a LingYun II.

    Regards,

    H.

    Oh, and nearly forgot:

The ZhanChi is actually the real GuHong II IMO. The new version of the GuHong is merely a 1.5. At the most.

Default Suggestions on which cube to get?

I'm a new cuber, and I've want to get a couple of different kinds of cubes.
If anyone has any experience with these, please reply. Thanks (:

    What I want to get:
3x3x3 - Thinking of Dayan Guhong or Zhanchi

    3x3x1 - Super Floppy?

    2x2x2 - No clue

    Magic - Also no clue

Lube - Thinking on Maru because its cheap

So if anyone has any experience with any of theses, please tell me your opinion.

3x3-Zhanchi, Lingyun 2, or Guhong 2. Between the Guhong or Zhanchi, IMO go with the Zhanchi if you want a slightly faster, almost unpopable, but crispier cube.
    3x3x2-I have no clue, sorry
2x2-If you have the money(like $10) go with the Type C WitTwo, but if you don't, then get the Lanlan. If you get the WitTwo, make sure you lube it.
    Magic-Ghosthand or LingAo
Lube-Maru is good, but IMO, a mixture of diff oil(50K wt) and shock oil(35wt)is the best.
Remember that everything is all personal preference.

For the Zhanchi what do you mean by crispier.
    For 3x3x2, sorry typo I mean 3x3x1
    For 2x2 + Magic + Lube, Thanks (:

Just get the 3x3 and the lube. If you're the type that likes collecting puzzles, the 3x3x1s should be nice.
Cubes for sale. PBs NR #2 for 6x6, 7x7 and megaminx lol. Gonna do BLD this year, inspiration coming from: Maskow, Nevins.

I also recommend the Zhanchi, it's a very fast, smooth cube and has torpedos to decrease popping to a minimum (though it still pops once in a while). It may be crispy bit its not that annoying as some cubers even like it. Also, you might want to do the CPM mod to it because it helps the cube A LOT. It became even more smooth and fast, so good!
