Smile When you get a "lucky solve"

You know lucky solve? last step solved for you or something similar? Well, if get a lucky solve that beats your Personal Best, does it count?

Today, while waiting in PT, I got a 49 second solve(beginner method) and then a 50 second solve(beginner method.) they both had the last step solved, and the 50 second "top cross" was complete and lined up.

My F2l is coming together, I'm at 1:17 using F2l then beginner method ending.(cross upside down.)

Oh and is there a way to know when people have posted on your thread? or do you have to go searching for your post. Sorry, new here
    -Mariah.

You can classify PBs in two ways. Lucky and Non-lucky so there's no problem.

I put a time in bracket if it is lucky solve. The non-lucky solve is the true best time. However it doesn't matter if you know that you will eventually get a non-lucky time that will beat that time.
    3x3 PB: 15.27 (13.88); avg5: 18.98; avg12: 19.89; avg 50: 21.45; OH: 25.39 (22.47); OH avg5: 29.97; OH avg12: 31.25; BLD:3:55.25; OLL:57/57 PLL:21/21 COLL:4/7 VHF2L:14/16

The chance of the "top cross" being skipped is only 1 in 8, so that doesn't make them lucky solves.

    What's your last step?

Cool, so my 50 isn't a lucky solve

And after f2l i do the original beginner method that Dan Brown taught on youtube,

Get the top cross, line up the middles, and fill in the edges.

When i'm more comfortable with F2L, i'll start working on 2 look oll and pll which i've read is where to start. Have i read correctly?

If I hear some ones best time for 2x2 and 3x3 and it's lucky, I really don't care. Non- Lucky, I do care a bit more.

I thought she was talking about the first step cross, lol. I thought she probably just didn't scramble it enough because the chance of a cross skip is so low, but now I feel kinda silly, ha. "Skipping" the cross on OLL seems a lot more reasonable.
