That's what WCA profiles are for. Even though I wouldn't mind it, I know that people without WCA profiles and that want their real names to be known are in the minority.

Yeah, this would be cool, just make it optional, and let nicknames be allowed, like many would know who attended MIT.

Wouldn't this take away from one of the benefits of premium membership? From what I've seen, most people switch to their real names.

If someone wanted to share their real name they would have used it as their username. There's also the option to add it to their sig.

If people don't know your real name, chances are they don't care.

Why so negative? It is an OPTIONAL field. Just like Youtube links and Facebook accounts.

I like this idea. Too bad my username is my name.
