Can someone link me to a page with the FMC template for official competitions (the one with the scramble, rules, and solution blanks)? Do I have permission to use them?
I had this question after I watched the 7x7x7 final at worlds. Now that seems unnatural. I've tried my normal 3x3x3 fingertricks on one but evidently there is just no way that will work.

That cross is going to be the easiest and fastest way for you to reduce times. Make sure you are practicing it properly. Here are some common ideas:
-Use as much time as necessary to plan the whole solution
-Don't practice other steps (just do cross+1) then rescramble
-Learn some cross finger...
Brest's effort is never wasted. I agree that maybe many people don't use them and simply praise well Brest can put together a reconstruction, but I personally will look at as many reconstructions of Faz and Mats and a few others as I can get my hands on.

Too cool! Because we met solving Rubik's cubes, my wife and I had Rubik's cubes in our engagement pictures and in many aspects of the reception decor. It wasn't our main theme as it was here - it sure is cool to see all the different ways they incorporated it.
