AboutOver 50 cuber . Former toy-store serial pest. Discovered cubes around 1980. Solving a single face marked pinnacle of mastery. Gave up trying after realising cubies could actually be removed and reinserted. Cube was relegated to decoration status.
Many moons later in 2017 I came a cross a Youtube video about cubing. Apparently the solution had since been discovered and now there was this weird craze called speedcubing. Bought one from local Chinese store but superhuman strength was needed to get it moving. Soon after a friend overseas sent me a Guhong and Dayan Zhanchi. Amazing. Fell in love with the feel and actually decided to learn the solution. We now have cubes in every room of the house and I am now clinically obsessed with the dark art of cubing
As I write this, I am having trouble getting my 3x3 average below 60 seconds. Goal is 40 sec av with focus on super smooth CFOP transitions.
