    Cubing@Home Chess event

Apparently, only really fast cubers (not necessarily in 3x3) are being invited. People that I know who are getting invited include Abhijeet Ghodgaonkar (rating is about 1500), Kavin Tangtartharakul (rating is about 2000), Patrick Ponce (rating is about 1400).

    Magnets in Square 1?

This won't become too big of a problem when Yuxin releases the Little Magic M Squan, which is $9.99. (It makes me regret getting the volt m from thecubicle.)

[Help Thread] The "Square-1 Help / Alg Sharing" thread

Remember that CSP makes the alg count go up to about 200 to about 400 no matter what you use. Not that this changes this argument, but if you don't want parity, you would have to learn a lot of algs anyway.

    Memory Methods

When I take the AMC 10, which is a math competition, I can remember the answers and solutions for each problem that I solve fairly easily. Maybe I should number each edge/corner with a number.

    u Cube Square-1 Method

How long does it take for you/others to do SPEC and PLL+1? I want to compare the two methods.

    Is there a 62 mm mass-produced 3x3, or a 70+ mm 2x2?

For 2x2, you could try to make a gigantic one out of cardboard or something. Do it like in this video except scale it up and use a stronger material, like rope or a chain. That would take a lot of effort to build, but it is not as bad as some other options. If you don't want to do that, you...

[Help Thread] F2L Discussion and Help

Tip 2: When doing the pair blindfolded, do the solution really really fast. This drills the alg into muscle memory. There are still a few cases that require you to use algs, since the algs solve them much more efficiently than an intuitive method would. Examples: F U R U' R' F' R U' R for...

    Blindfold Accomplishment Thread

Second success ever for 3bld: 13:04.00 When I go to comps, I am kind of that guy who wastes the comp organizers' time during bld.

Possible to get fast (20-30s) using this method for square-1?

OK Now I average like sub 20 with the same algs

    Magnetic cubes on airplane

This should be fine, unless you try to transport something that has a really big magnet. (Ex.: Treasure box cube with giant magnet inside, (Maybe?) 1x1x2 boob cube with repelling magnets) I got my Shengshou Mr. M past security quite a lot even though it has big magnets. Also, don't try to...

    [Help Thread] One-Handed Solving Discussion

If you cannot confidently do each F2L case that is worth knowing (a.k.a. at least one piece is on the top layer) while blindfolded, lookahead is not worth knowing. Also, you should learn how to do each F2L case really efficiently and to not rotate a lot. OH fingertricks are also really important.
