Without video evidence, there'd be no way to retrospectively change old +2s to DNFs since +2 is not recorded in the database. So if a change were to be made, it would have to exclude all results before the change.
It's a good question! Much more interesting than just asking what the best event is. Different people will have their own criteria, but I notice that a very common pattern is that people like the events they do well in, I think think they have a chance of doing well in. This makes sense...
My...
Just a quick clarification question: the two SpeedSolving forum competition weeks that count toward seeding -- are they the ones that begin on the dates you named, or the ones that end on those dates? So is it weeks 50 and 51 or 51 and 52?
Thanks!
I just realised I didn't do this for 2018, which is disappointing, so I'll do it this time.
Here are mine:
FMC: Sub-30 global average, and pure sub-30 official mean. Also, get a 21 and a 22 (official or unofficial; either will do... :)) And no official DNFs.
Feet: Practise it again and get...
I'd like to propose Domino cube (2x3x3)
(Full disclosure: my reason is that I want to learn how to do domino reduction really well for FMC, and figure that getting good at actually solving dominoes can't hurt...)
Very nice to see so many of the oldies this past weekend. I ended up missing clock, due to not feeling well enough to stay for it, but otherwise all goals were met. Beth & Erin each got PBs, I got 2 sub-30s in FMC (and a very disappointing 37) and caught up with lots of great people.
Since Euros I've really only been practising FMC... I had hoped I'd aim for a PB average but I think just hoping for a sub-30 single will do. Other than that, I've done almost no practice solves in any other events, apart from the weekly competition on here, and a bit of extra clock practice...
tl;dr: what is parity in FMC?
I've sometimes seen people use the term "parity" in an FMC solve to refer to a skeleton (I think) where they end up with 2 edges unsolved (and some number of corners, presumably).
I'm wondering two things:
1. Is this an accepted definition?
2. Do we understand...
