Thanks AlphaSheep.
Well, what would be the average movecount after learning full PLL but still using 2 look OLL?
Well, what would be the average movecount after learning full PLL but still using 2 look OLL?
ThanksI think the efficiency difference between full OLL and 2L OLL is about 7 or 8 moves.
the average movecount for OLL according to the speedsolving wiki is 9.8 movesThanks AlphaSheep.

Most people don't use many left-handed algs, the main uses for LH are simple flicks, including U', U2'; and L moves. Practice making sure those are smooth until you can speed up.hi guys,
im having trouble increasing my left hands tps, it can't catch up with my right hand
any suggestions?? thankyou
Almost. Add a chance for an AUF in the middle (less than 0.75 because H OCLL is symmetric and skips don't need an extra AUF)the average movecount for OLL according to the speedsolving wiki is 9.8 moves
For EOLL, there are 4 options:
skip: .125 chance, 0 moves, .125x0=0
2flip: .75 chance, 6 moves, .75x6=4.5
4flip: .125 chance, 11 moves, .125*11=1.375
0+4.5+1.375 = 5.875 which rounds to 5.9
OCLL according to the wiki is 7.9 moves on average
5.9+7.9=13.8
tl;dr:
2-look OLL takes 13.8 moves
1-look OLL takes 9.8 moves
My cross takes average moves of ~10,while f2l takes around ~30-32moves.I know complete 2 look OLL and 14 plls but I normally don't use R perms in solves.
Can anyone suggest now if I'm still making a mistake thus raising the movecount to ~75 moves or it is normal??????
That's a bit tedious for a cuber like me with just 5 months of cubing experience ,Ao100 of 52.53s and PB of 34.23s
But I'll try to atleast knock off 2-3 moves.
The main problem is not the 4 moves, it's the pause. 2 look OLL is much slower because you have to stop in the middle and recognize OCLL.Thanks JustinTimeCuber.
Thats really great!!
So its not much worth learning full OLL as it saves just 4 moves.
Thats worth just a few seconds(for,me at least).I have tried to find out the time difference between 1 look OLL and 2 look OLL and according to me,learning 45 more algs will hardly save me 6-7 seconds(for now). The main problem is not the 4 moves, it's the pause. 2 look OLL is much slower because you have to stop in the middle and recognize OCLL.
A few seconds is a lot.Thats worth just a few seconds(for,me at least).
Hey,I said that I don't care about those few seconds. Those are not important to cubers(me) with 52 seconds average.A few seconds is a lot.
If you want to get faster, it helps, because remember there's also the time taken for recognition. Thanks JustinTimeCuber.

Starting with good habits means smoother progress and less frustration when you learn later because you're used to learning algs.Hey,I said that I don't care about those few seconds. Those are not important to cubers(me) with 52 seconds average.
These 'few' seconds are really worth after goin' sub-30 or sub-20.
